WHY WAS THIS AWARD CREATED?
The Kootenai County Top 30 Under 40 Award was created to showcase and celebrate the hard work that young professionals are doing. Highlighting the young professionals is an opportunity to showcase that we have tremendous talent and emerging leaders in our community.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This award is for the person who day in and day out, is giving their best and they’re all to the community. Whether that’s in their professional career or what they’re doing in their off hours. It’s for somebody who’s not clocking out and being done but clocking out for their day-to-day job or their own business and then still choosing to go above and beyond for their community.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Someone who is under 40 years of age by December 31st, 2022.

Someone who is a resident of Kootenai County

Someone nominated by a friend, colleague, family member, etc. Sorry, no self-nominating!
→ Nominee does not need to be a member of KCYP, or any other specific club/membership
→ Nominee can win this award a max of 3 times before they are 40 years of age.
HOW TO NOMINATE SOMEONE?
Head to https://www.kootenaicountytop30.org/nominate and fill out a short form where you can tell us a little about the person you are nominating and why you think they are worthy of a Top 30 Under 40 Award!
THE PROCESS | HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Step 1: Once a nomination is received, each candidate will receive an email with an application to fill out. This application must be filled out completely and submitted by the deadline stated in the email.

Step 2: An independent judging panel will meet and review all of the nominations. They will scour through the forms and nomination statements to narrow them down to 30 winners!

Step 3: The winners will be announced in a live video on the Kootenai County Young Professionals Facebook page. Be sure you follow so you don’t miss the announcement!

Step 4: The winners' bios will be posted to our social media so you can learn all about the incredible winners!

Step 5: Time to celebrate! We want to Elevate these young professionals by giving them more than a plaque and saying congratulations. We give them an incredible evening where they can go and celebrate with their friends and family! You can learn more about Elevate here.
THE JUDGING PROCESS
An independent judging panel is made up of business and community leaders in Kootenai County. They are selected by the Top 30 Under 40 Committee Chairs and are ultimately responsible narrowing down hundreds of applications to 30 incredible winners!

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE?

August 1st - September 15th: Nominations are open

September 30th: Applications are due

Judges meet and submit the results [we keep this part of the process private to ensure a fair process]

Early November: Winners are announced! Watch our social media for a formal announcement!

Sydney Stinson began her career in manufacturing almost 10 years ago. She studied Business Administration at Washington State University and started working as an Administrative Assistant for her family's CNC machine shop, Accurate CNC Services. Today, she is the Chief Administrative Officer and runs the business with her brother, hoping to carry on her family's legacy. Outside of serving as the PR Director for KCYP for the second year, she is involved in Women In Manufacturing.
