As a Washington native, Janna started her career in forestry operations after finishing graduate school at Oregon State University. Eventually, she migrated toward environmental consulting. This involved working with clients in the oil and gas industry to obtain air operating permits for onshore extraction wells in Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana. In 2020, she relocated to the Inland Northwest to join family and a new position with Avista Utilities in Spokane, WA. Her career with Avista initially began in compliance; specializing in air and water quality for all thermal generation facilities. More recently, she focuses her efforts on the corporate side of air quality emissions accounting and reporting company-wide at both the state and federal levels. Janna currently serves as the Greenhouse Gas Program Lead with Avista. When she’s not in the office, Janna enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, spending time with friends and family as well as helping those in need around the community. |
Asa was born in Rhode Island but moved to the Pacific Northwest at a young age. He attended Norwich University in Vermont which is the oldest private military institute in North America. He graduated Summa Cum Laude as a Distinguished Military Graduate with a double Bachelors of Science in Accounting as well as Business and Financial Economics. After graduation and four years of service as an officer in the US Army, he has now launched his own financial services office. The part of his business that he enjoys the most is helping individuals, families and businesses navigate the complicated world of finance while they stay the course to achieve their financial goals. Asa moved back to Eastern Washington to be closer to family, to get away from the western Washington traffic, and for the greater opportunities to enjoy the great Pacific Northwest outdoors. Asa has a yellow lab pup named Kora. He enjoys skiing, running, competing in triathlons and has completed four 70.3 Ironman races. Asa says he’s excited to become more involved in the community he lives in and to assist in increasing the camaraderie of the small business community. |
